installing the faxing/scanning option of a HP Officejet j6480 all-in-one to Window 7

Few years ago we purchased the above printer, it will print but we never installed the faxing/scanning option. Now I need to fax documents and desperately need to use it. Any ideas on how to remediate this problem.
