Our modem isn't able to pick up an IP address for our printer.
We were having conflict problems whenever a particular computer was connected wirelessly and our HP laserjet 2300dtn was also on.
Someone suggested giving it an address of something like 10.1.1.100 to give it a number far removed from everything else on the network.
My son instead gave it an address like 100.100.100.100
Since then it has disappeared from the network and the moden has not been able to pick it up.
We've tried "restore factory setting" but it hasn't helped.
We can't find any sort of menu item for "network setting" on the printer display.
We thought removing the CMOS battery might help, but we can't find it, or directions for where to find it.
We now have a non-networkable computer.
Any suggestions as to what we can try?
