That's crazy, I just got mine today, took it out of the box and it won't align either.  It only prints the cyan portion and won't scan it.  This is the second printer I've bought from HP in a month that's been broken.  The people on tech support don't even know how to fix the problem. Ridiculous.

Are you using New OEM HP or Remanufactured cartridges?

Follow the steps in the document below to make sure the printer has the current updates.

Brand new out the box mine won't scan thealignment page either! tried the update route and it's just the same! This is obviously a known issue, why is there no fix for it?

I had the same (out of the box) problem and it seems to be an issue with the scanner...not the printer alignment. I have checked for updates and it says I am up to date. I have included the image from the scanner an image from the alignment page taken with a camera. As you can see the page looks very well aligned in the camera shot, but it is very skewed in the scan. It seems more like it is a firmware issue. Any thoughts? Thanks.
