officejet pro 8600 - images good. text streaks

hi, the problem i'm having is illustrated belwow. 

 

text streaks whilst images are fine. (the header is an image). 

 

documents are pdfs. happeing accross all similar documents

can anyone advise?

Does this happen when you print from Notepad or Wordpad?

 

Is pdf the only file format you are seeing this issue with?

Sounds like an issue with your current PDF application.

 

What PDF application program are you currently using?

 

Have you tried a different PDF application (Example: Foxit reader)?
