bought this printer at a garage sale for the younguns and have 98SE.  downloaded the HPPSE file as requested but no recognition of printer by Win98.  Need a driver for 98 or a disc for installation.  Any help with this?

HP's contract with Microsoft no longer allows then to distribute the WIndows 98 drivers for this product, the drivers from HP website were removed in 2007.

 

You may be able to find the ps307en.exe file elsewhere on the net.  An alternative driver would be the Deskjet 970 or 950 driver.  The Deskjet 950 drivers are still offered here online by HP for Windows 95 and the last post here indicates these would work for Windows 98 as well.
