how i can make j 4580 scan with OCR?

You must have full-feature software for this to work.... OCR is included but you probably have the basic driver or missing the OCR software.   Get it from your disk or here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&lc=en&product=3645100

downloaded full software already but cant install as this has more than 90 files and i dont understand how to use please if u can tell me specific files to look for in this full folder as downloaded so that it becomes more useful.

What OS are you using?

Do you have the same printer as the original poster?

How are you trying to connect the printer to the computer?

Why can't you install the full software package? I'm betting it's a space issue, but I don't like to assume.
