Please help me solve this problem.  I just purchased an HP pavilion slimline, AMD with Windows vista and all the new HP stuff to go with it.

My problem is the program says my HP director/photo imaging is not compatible.  The computer recognizes the printer psc1209 and I'm able to get printed material.  But when I want to use my scanner or photo imaging it will not let me.  If it recognizes the one and it's an all in one, why doesn't recognize the whole system?   Thank you for your assistance in advance.
