"Alignment Failed" on brand new C6380

So I'm setting up my brand new C6380 printer for the family for Christmas morning.  Keep getting "Alignment Failed" error during initial setup.  Page appears to be printing ok, but I don't have anything to compare with.  I see black, grey, magenta, blue, and yellow on the alignment page.  Any ideas?  I just pulled out all the cartridges and reinstalled them, waiting on another alignment page to print, but thought I'd hit the forum to see if anyone has other ideas.

Well, this last effort fixed the problem.  Solved!

MY printer is not new, but  I bet is has not even approached 200 black and white text sheets, and MABEY  25 (simple) color printouts.

Problem 1

Now I get Alignment failed every time I test it.  And the actual printouts are absolutely terrible.

Problem 2

The Toner was replaced less than a week ago and I found it interesting that only the black cartridges showed full,  NOT the color cartridges.  The color cartridges were at about 60%.    WELL today I took a look at trying to get the cartridge allignment to work, and when I viewed the cartridges the Pink was EMPTY ! and the other 2 cartridges are about 25%.   What gives with this.  After printing 2  "test quality" reports off of the printer menue, I am getting cartridge empty warnings.  I am about to "DEEP 6"  this printer and go with a Toshiba or Dell.   I am looking for the hidden cameras in my office.  This printer has had verry little use and  I have gone thru about $120.00 in ink.    How has this printer not been recalled. ?  Are my options only to chuck it or does anyone know about a recall that might be out there.

My 6380 has stopped printing most areas of documents.  It printed an image that had been inserted, but none of the text on the page.  I aligned the print heads, the page printed ok.  I received "Alignment Failed" error on the printer.  Just installed all new cartridges.  It printed fine before that.

Any ideas, Anyone?
