This printer was installed and working fine, then suddenly quit working. Uninstalled and reinstalled per HP's site directions. Receive message "There is a problem communicating with your computer." Have checked USB connections and the printer works just fine wirelessly from my laptop. The printer appears as the default on the USB connected computer, which is running Windows 7 64 bit.

Try downloading and running the print and scan doctor located here:
It can fix a lot on its own and if not give a better idea of what is going on.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer twice. The second time worked! The diagnostic site didn't, but I noticed that only one of the drivers installed the first time. I have no idea why. Thank you for your input.

I have an issue conneting with my printer after my windows 7 install, I have installed and deleted my drivers about 5 times. Nothing seems to help. Any help would be appreciated.

Is this for the 6500a or a different printer? What specific errors are you getting?
