I just bought a brand new Hp Photosmart d110a for my college dorm room. The network that I am on here is one that prompts me for a user name and password everytime i connect to my computer (password protected network).
I am having much trouble configuring the printer on the network because anytime it finds the network (or router) and I select it, it tells me that "unable to connect to network unsupported authentication or encryption type".
Can someone please advise me on how i can resolve this issue.
thanks

I assume you use a dorm or university-supplied wireless network? If so, they are not going to let your printer on their network.
If this is true you are going to have to use USB. There are other options, but have downsides.
Please advise about your network.
