Re: solutioncenter.msi popup at HP Solution Center startup

Go to list of programs. RIGHT click on ' HP Solution Centre'. LEFT click on ' Open file location'. Scroll down list until you find the .msi file.

Re: solutioncenter.msi popup at HP Solution Center startup

It may be best to re-install the whole thing. You could try http://www8.hp.com/au/en/support-drivers.html I don't remember offhand exactly where I found it, but I seem to remember that the solution centre is part of a package. You could download the package and install just what you need .

Re: solutioncenter.msi popup at HP Solution Center startup

This just started today:

When I startup the computer an install pop-up comes up, then a msg saying something to the effect that it can't find path to solutioncenter.msi and asking for me to browse to find it.  Also happens when I startup HP Solution Center.

Any ideas?

Re: solutioncenter.msi popup at HP Solution Center startup

I'm an IT pro and I've been dealing with this issue for several years. everytime flash ticks a version, HP Solution center breaks.

I can't believe that someone actually hardcoded a specific version of flash into the app. Oh wait. I guess I can believe it.

Sigh.

Re: solutioncenter.msi popup at HP Solution Center startup

Hi - you say that everytime Adobe releases a new version of (or updates) Flash, HP Solution Center breaks.  I was under the impression that Solution Center version 13 solved this problem. Does HP Solution Center still cause popups or other problems when Adobe updates Flash every few months?

Re: solutioncenter.msi popup at HP Solution Center startup

Unfortunately it didn't work for me. After downloading and installing I got the following message:

"This update does not support any of the HP device drivers on your pc. You do not need this software update."

Yes, I do! Everytime I open Solution Center, I get that blasted error message about the solutioncenter.msi come up & the window to browse to find the file. I have the file on my computer, but it doesn't recognize it. I have the HP 6310 All-in-one and I can use it to copy, print and fax, but not to scan. I get that message everytime I try to scan anything. I have spent hours today searching the web, and HP and trying a bazillion "fixes" and nothing is working! *sigh*

And to make matters worse, I can't get the file from the cd that came with my product because my CPU drive isn't working. It doesn't load the cd!

I'd like to uninstall the program and reinstall it but I'm afraid if I try doing that I'll end up losing the rest of the features. Why is it so hard to have the solutioncenter.msi file available for downloading?
