Unable to install drivers.
From your previous post I click the link to find a blank page with just some data down the left side. Is it possible to show me how to install these drivers please.

Here is a link to the support page for your printer.
From there you should be able to remove/reinstall the drivers for you printer.
Hope this helps.
Kudo's gratefully accepted if I was of help to you.

Like I said from my previous note, I've had the same trouble as the other person trying to install the software/drivers but for some unknown reason it doesn't go.
I am running Vista and viewing the tech sheet for this printer it doesn't mentioned Vista, could this be the problem and if so is their a way around it. I've tried 'Run as Administrator' but no different.
Dave.

Have you tried installing the printer's driver manually?
You can go for Vista's "add a printer" and at the same time have the drivers from the CD.
You can actally hook up your printer to your Vista computer, and the "Add a Printer Wizzard" should come up. If you get the option to "Have Disk", select the option and navigate the directory to the HP CD directory and select the appropirate inf file and hit OK. Then simply follow the next prompts.
Let me know if this helps.

Ref: Photosmart Pro B8350
No CD.
Downloaded the drivers & software from HP's web site for this printer.
Double click the 'hpzsetup.exe' icon then 'user account control' opens, select continue then the egg timer shows briefly, then the setup window appears for about 2 sec. showing it's progress meter then disappears and that's all I get.
hpzsetup:
c:\User\Home\Documents\HP Printers\hppspro8300_Vista32\hpzsetup.exe
Tried again using 'Run as Administrater' but no different.

Here are some additional things you might want to try to resolve your problems with you printers. The following applies to Vista 32 and 64 only. No recommendation for other operating systems.
1. Remove the printer software. There are a couple of ways to do this.
a. Use this link from the Photosmart Pro B8350 Support page - Remove Printer Software.
b. Use this link from the Officejet J4580 Support page that will install a complete printer removal tool - Vista Removal Tool.
2. After removing the printer software download/use the install CD to reinstall your printer. Once that is done update the software as required.
I had to do this with my Officejet J4580 when my HP Photosmart program went "South". Once I used the removal tool at Level 4 and reinstalled the printer from my original CD and then did the updates all was well again.
Hope I may have pointed you in a direction to resolve your printer problems.

No CD, I did mention this before.
Exercised all that you explained and still no different.
Can you have a go at downloading and you will see for yourself the problem I am having.

Sheepdog - I did have a "go" as you requested and had the same experience.
I'm running Vista x64, but I don't think that had anything to do with my results.
First I downloaded the hppspro8300_Vista32.exe from the HP Photosmart Pro B8350 support page.
Next I executed the install.
The file decompressed into the directory where I had downloaded it and when I executed the hpzsetup file I get the hourglass icon and then a quick flash of the HP Invent screen and then nothing else.
The only thing that might be an issue is the directory that you choose to install the download file into. I used the directory that I had loaded the file into. Maybe the file is not a complete install, but an update or upgrade that has to be installed into the original printer install directory. It may have to find some support files that aren't in the blank download area.
Just a guess.
Sorry I can't think of anything else to recommend. Wish I could have been more help.
