where can i download xp drivers for c309a photosmart?
i need just the drivers, the .inf files etc.
all of the hp downloads are packages that do way way too much.
i need only the printer drivers to provide to the windows xp printer install wizard.
i'm trying to use an windows xp pro laptop to connect to and print on a photosmart c309a across my home network on a windows 7 64-bit that is sharing the printer on the network.
where can i download only the xp drivers for a c309a photosmart?

Hi,
First, try the following within Windows7:
Right click the Shared printer, click Printer Properties.
Enter the Sharing tab and click Additional Printer Drivers.
Check the x86 option and apply the change.
From the XP, click Start and enter the shared computer IP or hostname network path with 2 backslashes in front.
Right click the shared printer, then click Connect.
I believe the shared printer will automatically configure now.
If it fails, download the basic software package below:
Extract the package using Winrar or any similar file archiver (Right click the file, then select extract)
Follow the Add a Printer wizard by inserting the full network path of the shared printer as a local port (e.g. \\10.0.0.1\HP Photosmart C309).
Click Have Disk below the printers list.
Browse to the extracted folder, which contain the Autorun.inf within the top folder tree of the extracted file.
