HP 8600 Plus Printer

I am looking to purchase a new Printer.... I have always had HP Printers.  I seem to think the best one for me is the 8600 Series.  I see there is the 8600, 8600 Plus and 8600 Premium.  Im considering the 8600 Plus.  I have found 2 different Model Numbers and wondered what the difference is.  One is CN579A#1H3 and the other  CM750A#B1H.  Can you tell me what the difference is?

Re: HP 8600 Plus Printer

Both are same. The official number is CM750A#B1H for OJ 8600 PLUS. Some suppliers may have change the number.

Go ahead and buy OffiiceJet 8600 PLUS and play with tons features.

Re: HP 8600 Plus Printer

The CM750a is the main retail version and the CN579a is a customized retail version for North America (It will show up as 8605 Plus). Like the previous reply, they are essentially the same except for the following. You can refer and make your choice.

                                  CM750a     CN579a

Copy Enlarge%             400             200

Copy Reduce%              25               50

# Copies                         99               50

FAX Memory est. pgs   100             125

# of Speed Dials             75               99

Re: HP 8600 Plus Printer

Thank You!  Now that I have the printer I am having a problem with the Fax...maybe you can help.  Wont send or receive with out a filter on the phone line. Problem is with the  filter on the line it constantly keeps beeping and telling me I have an incoming call.  I had replace my HP L7590  with the this 8600 Premium. I am using the supplied phone line and its on a DSL Line.  Followed all directions.

Also when I scan into a document it takes forever if at all for it to attach to an email.  10 Page document took about 20 mins to attach. I never had this problem with the L7590. I changed the dpi to 200 as well.

I guess I better print the manual as I am very frustrated........

Thanks!

Re: HP 8600 Plus Printer

Hi,

I'm sorry to hear you are facing issues with the Fax and Scan feature.

For the Fax issue, you will definitely need to be connected to a DSL filter if you have a DSL modem on the same line. However, I understand you have a problem wth the constant ringing on the line. Let me check back with our Fax expert. Could you provide the model of your DSL filter and the service provider of your DSL? Thanks.
