HP Deskjet 2510 Installation Error

Trying to install my hp 2510 printer onto windows 8 laptop, I have downloaded the most upto date software from HP site but I keep getting the same error message. The message is :

Installation error : Call to DriverPackageInstall returned error 13 for package 'C:\Program Files\HP\HP Deskjet 2510 series\DriverStore\Pipeline\hpvpl09.inf'

Tried the troubleshooting software but no solutions, please help!

Re: HP Deskjet 2510 Installation Error

Sorry that you are having a issue installing your Deskjet.

Try to uninstall the software and drivers. Reboot the computer. Also perform a hard rest on the printer. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer. Leave it out for 30 seconds and plug it back in.

It seems that it was a corruption while downloading.

Let me know the results.

Re: HP Deskjet 2510 Installation Error

Uninstalled and deleted all traces of the install and still get exactly the same message. Tried this 3 times and still no luck. Anyone anymore ideas?

Re: HP Deskjet 2510 Installation Error

Try to disable your firewall and anti-virus.

Here is a link you can follow for a fatal error installation. Even though, this model is not yours, the steps are the same.
