Thanks Jay,

Unfortunately for me, after cleaning the print head in hot water, then a cleaning solution, and reassembled for the third time, Magenta still not printing!! This is very frustrating. Should I buy a new printhead? I think so unless anybody has any better ideas!

thanks, Rob

Yes, they make it very hard.  What kind of screwdriver is needed to remove these tiny screws? I've tried a philips 1 and 2 and smaller ones I had. I've lost my star heads. Can't HP even use standard screws?

Please someone help as I also have about $200 of ink at stake.

Thank you!

My problem, too! I had them, but lost the bits. I have a Craftsman lighted screwdriver with removable bits. One set of Philips and regular came and another of the hex ones. I bought it at Sears and is one of my best purchases ever. Just wish I didn't lose the hex/torque bits I need.  Leave it to HP to not use standard screws!

I will never buy another HP Printer again! Canon Customer Service is 100x superior to HP.

JayW, your instructions were perfect and it worked like a charm.  I tried everything else and nothing worked until I used your instructions.  Thank you so much.
