Officejet Pro 8600 Plus - won't print wirelessly

Installed a new 8600 Plus printer.  Installed it onto my network.  My laptop sees the printer and the scanning function will fire off and talk back and forth with my laptop.  When I try to print, though, the printing fails with "Unable to Communicate with Printer" error.  Any ideas on how to solve this?

Hi AggieCE,

Please download and run the Print and Scan Doctor from the link below. Let me know what errors you receive?

Hi AggieCE,

Install the printer on a different computer, and let me know if you have the same issue?

I have the same problem. I have 3 laptops (1 Mac and 2 Windows) that are connecting to it wirelessly. Only the Mac works. The Windows laptop don't at all. I am unable to scan or print wirelesly. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the latest software from HP for this printer.

Hi manujaws2012,

What is the IP address assigned to the printer?

Can you hit the EWS - Embedded Web Server when you type the IP address into the address bar of IE?

Re: Officejet Pro 8600 Plus - won't print wirelessly

I can get into the EWS.  All appears to be okay.  The connectivity is good on my wife's computer.  Biggest difference that I can tell is that I have McAfee as my security program.  Could there be some settings in this program that are causing the issue?  What else should I look for in the EWS?  Thanks in advance for the response.  This is VERY frustrating.  Brand new printet that won't perform.
