Service HP CUE DeviceDiscovery Service hung on starting

This is happening on both Vista 64 machines that are networked to my new CM2320nf. I cannot believe that I have some kind of problem with HP software with EVERY HP printer I buy.Every day on bootup network discovery is stalled due to:

Problem Event Name: ServiceHang

Service Name: hpqddsvc

Image Name: hpqddsvc.dll

Image Version: 100.0.190.0

Service Type: 20

Start Type: 2

OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.256.1

Locale ID: 1033

Extra information about the problem

I have the same problem with my Pavilion dv7-1232nr. I have been trying to figure this out and I have had no luck. I think it might be my Kaspersky software, but I am not sure.

Re: Service HP CUE DeviceDiscovery Service hung on starting

There is a fix in these forums about stopping and disabling the HP CUE service from services.msc that worked for me.

This is what shows on my Problem Reports and Solutions.

I hope that this is the same problem that all of you have with your HP Pavillion Computers. Thanks. I also hope I can find where the solution is.
