Re: can the officejet 6700 be set to only print black

Hi,

Yes you can print:

  • High-Quality Grayscale: uses all the available colors to print your photo/text in grayscale. This creates smooth and natural shades of gray.
  • Black Ink Only: uses black ink to print your photo/text in grayscale. The gray shading is created by varying patterns of black dots, which might result in a grainy image.

BUT to protect itself, printer needs color inks and it will use all inks during warming up process.

Regards.

Re: can the officejet 6700 be set to only print black

Hi,

Please try these steps:

  • Load paper in the tray.
  • On the File menu in your software application, click Print.
  • Make sure the printer you want to use is selected.
  • To change settings, click the button that opens the Properties dialog box. Depending on your software application, this button might be called Properties, Options, Printer Setup, Printer, or Preferences.
  • Change the paper orientation on the Layout tab, and paper source, media type, paper size, and quality settings on the Paper/Quality tab. To print in black and white, click the Advanced button, and then change the Print in Grayscale/Black option.
  • Click OK.
  • Click Print or OK to begin printing.

    Regards.
