Just bought a HP 2540 all in one. The purpose was to print courier labels on it, but it is in A5 format, this is not selectable in my drop down list of the printer properties.

How can I select the paper to be A5?

regards,

marc

Re: hp 2540

Hello marc,

This is a known issue with the specific driver.

Please let me know your operating system version, I will provide you the steps to add an alternative driver to include the A5 paper size.

Re: hp 2540

Hello,

the problem is fixed, I am not sure how.

but I uninstalled the printer and instead of installing the CD, I took a driver from internet download and suddenly I got 2 printers: one with A5 and one without A5 paper selection.

My operating system is Windows 8.1

the device name (default) by the new driver is also different: it is HP Deskjet 2540 Series Class Driver.

this is not the same a on the bundled CD.

mayby HP should upgrade the CD.

regards,

marc

Re: hp 2540

Hi , due to connection problems, I removed the driver and installed it again.

this time I used the DJ2540_145.exe that I downloaded from HP website.

unfortunatly I cannot select A5 paper format.

do you have an update to this driver that I can print on A5 paper?

this is needed for a courier label documents.

please advise

Re: hp 2540

Same problem, cannot print onto A5. Tried CD and Online installation with latest driver. Baffles me how HP create drivers that recognise A4 and A6 but not A5! Serious logic missing there. Please solve this issue, because it clearly isn't 'Solved'!

Re: hp 2540

Hi, if you install the HP2540 again with the standard windows driver, then one can select A5 size. It is strange that the bundled CD offers a driver that does not allow A5 printing.

definetly action by HP to adapt the bundle or online driver, because from the download alos A5 size does not work.

the name of the MS windows driver is HP Deskjet 2540 Series Class Driver.

the bundled CD says HP Deskjet 2540 driver

the downloaded file DJ2540_145.exe is also not offering any solution.
