Re: lost printer connection

Sorry that you have lost the connection for the printer.

Do you receive an error message when you try to print?

Are you connected USB or wireless?

Perform a hard reset on the printer. Unplug the power cord from the back. Leave it out for 30 seconds and plug it back in.

Try another USB cable, if you are USB.

Re: lost printer connection

I have the exact same problem. The HP laptop lost printer connectivity without any known changes to the PC. I have other PCs sitting next to this laptop that are connected to the printer without any problem. I deleted and re-added the HP software after trying to shut down the printer and rebooting the PC.

I have gone through the HP toubleshooter process and except for renaming the network, nothing has worked. Why would I rename the network when two other computers on the network access the printer without a problem?

Do you have another suggestion?

Re: lost printer connection

@mikeliebo, sorry that you are having a problem with the connections, also.

When you redownloaded the software, did it find the printer on the network?

Try to disable your firewall and anti-virus.
