Hi, I bought a Hp 6700 All-in-One printer recently. It prints well, but the only issue is it prints too low at bottom. I set the margin as 1 inch, the top, right, and left side are fine, but the bottom is obviously not 1 inch. It is too low, and if I add the page numbers at the bottom, the page numbers cannot be printed on the paper. I use windows 8 system and microsoft word. Can anyone helps me solve this problem? Thanks so much.

I would do a power reset to see if that will resolve the issue. With the printer still turned on, disconnect the power cable from the back of the printer, if the printer has external power module with a detachable power cord disconnect it for 15 seconds and then reconnect it. Then disconnect the power cable from the wall outlet. Wait 10 seconds and reconnect the power cable back to the wall outlet first, then the back of the printer and power it on again.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector)
If you do a print preview does it show the full document? (file, print preview)
It will only print what it sees in the print preview.
I would download and run the Print and Scan Doctor to fix common printing and scanning problems.
I have included a document for Changing Print Settings in Windows 8 for the Officejet 6700.
If you require further assistance please provide the following so I can assist you better.
What operating system are you using?
Here is a document to check your operating system for Windows.

I would check the setting for the printer and the application you are printing from.
From the software program, select the Print option.
Select the product, and then click the Properties or Preferences button.
Click the Paper/Quality tab.
From the Paper type drop-down list, click the More... option.
Expand the list of Type is: options.
Expand each category of paper types until you find the paper type that you are using.
- Select the option for the type of paper you are using, and then click the OK button.
(make sure the paper type isn't set on unspecified paper)
Try another document to see if you have the same issue.
From the application you are printing from go to file, page setup and let me know what the settings are for the printer.
Are you having the same issue that the page numbers are cut off?
What application are you printing from? (word, preprinted form)
Please let me know the printer settings also for Paper/Quality.

I believe I figure it out. The problem is pretty simply once you realized. You make a mistake in the page setup. The default is A4 which is wrong. I bet your paper size is not international A4, it should be letter that is the American Standard (8.5*11). Remember to modify paper size in page setup window.
