2840 is Offline and looking to get it Online

My 2840 is now showing it to be "offline" and will not print even though I did not reconfigure it.  How do I get it "online"?

I don't know about the OP's OS, but I'm having the same problem and I'm on Windows 7.  Troubleshooting doesn't find any problem, but Word says the printer is "offline."

2840 Laserjet just went offline keep blinking and cannot get it back online. Started up various times, disconnected all cables, reconnected nothing changes.

This seems to be a commercial product. For the best chance at finding a solution I would suggest posting in the forum for HP Business Support!

I have this problem and have tried the suggested solutions. On my windows 7 computer, the HP Print and Scan Doctor finds the printer on the static IP address but then goes on to request whether the the printer is USB, Network-Wireless or Network Wired. I click Network wired and it can't find it. When I remove the printer from the list of printers on the computer it can't find it at all. I used another application that doesn't support the HP 2840 and it seemed to find the printer at a different IP address but I get no response when I enter that IP address in my browser. I don't have any better luck using my Apple laptop. The printer has worked find with both computers and my network for a number of years. The printer itself shows as being ready (there is one colour cartridge low and the drum is almost done but there is no message that the printer is off line because of this).

Any other ideas?
