3820 Deskjet Driver For windows 7

what can i do?

I tried to install my 3820 deskjet printer in windows 7 according to HP's driver guide but it was not helpful.

Thanks For your reply, but i said that i used HP's Guide i mean i saw that page; but there is no support for "Deskjet 970cse" in windows 7. in other word according that support page of HP, i must use Deskjet 970cse driver that pre-instaled in windows 7 for my 3820 deskjet but windows 7 no more support that driver.

The Deskjet 970cse driver is available through Windows Update.  When you get to the place in the Add Printer dialog to select a printer, if the Deskjet 970cse is not avaialble then select Windows Update.  This will take a few minutes to update, but then the Deskjet 970cse driver will be available and the installation can complete.

dear,

i got the same problem, n after followed all suggested solution, the problem still occur.

the printer (970cse) still undetected, while at the same time in unspecified location, 3820 is avalaible but can't work.

any suggestions?

Hi , Just right click on your desjet 3820 icon and choose install new drivers ans select the 970cse drivers after that you will have two icon the first 970 cse icon printers and a second named copy 970cse this one will work you can delete the first one after . i'll just install my 3820 .hope it will help you
