When installing my 6310 through the network, it states that some files need to be deleted and that I have to restart. Doing this, the installation doesn't pick up where it left off and when I try to run the installation again, the same message comes up to restart. I can print through the network but I cannot scan or get images from the card reader, probably since it doesn't finish installation. I've downloaded and redownloaded the software numerous times to the same effect.
What can I do to get my 6310 All-In-One to work properly?

Hi,
The issue that you are facing is because of the firewall on your computer. It blocks the HP executable files when you try scanning. Add exceptions for the following files on your firewall:
hpqkygrp.exe , located in the C:\program files\HP\digital imaging\bin directory.
hpqscnvw.exe , located in the C:\program files\HP\digital imaging\bin directory.
hpqste08.exe , located in the C:\program files\HP\digital imaging\bin directory.
hpzipm12.exe , located in the C:\windows\system32 directory.
hpzinw12.exe , located in the C:\windows\system32 directory.
hpqtra08.exe , located in the C:\program files\HP\digital imaging\bin directory.
hpqthb08.exe , located in the C:\program files\HP\digital imaging\bin directory.
If you are still facing issues, post with the exact error message, and i will post a fix for it

Try this,
Insert the software installation disc, stop it from auto play. Open the contents of the disc, and click on "util" folder,
under that look for "CCC" folder, once that is open, click on "Uninstall_L2". once that is complete, choose "Uninstall_l3"
after that, restart the computer and try instatlling the printer.

Hi, I am prasanth kumar. I have understand that you are unable to scan from the laptop when All-in-One it is connected in network, To isolate this issue we need to check few things.
1. Are you able to make copy from the All-in-One scanner glass? If you are able to make copy from the printer then its confirms that printer is working fine, The issue might be with the connectivinty from the printer to computer in network.
We need to check the communication between computer and printer. Please get the IP address of the printer from the front panel or from the network configuration page. Then open new Internet Explore in the computer, in address bar enter IP address of the printer and press enter (Eg: 192.168.1.102). Then it will open Printer information page.
We need to check the 2-way communication between computer and printer. Printing from the compouter or laptop is 1-way communication for scann ing we need to check the 2-way communication . Make sure that you have turn off anti virus and firewall installed in the computer in this process.
Let me know the status for the above steps.
I will waiting for the result.
Bye, All the best.

I am having the same problems. Can print but can't scan. The HP Solutions Center doesn't recognize the printer. I was on a chat earlier this evening with someone at the support center and they told me I should contact my computer mfr to get some exceptions to the firewall ports. My firewall is Norton Internet Security, so don't know what to do. Here are the exceptions he said to use. I don't know what to do next.
UDP 427 (inbound)
TCP 9220 (outbound)
UDP 161 (outbound)
UDP 427 (outbound)
TCP 9500 (outbound)
TCP 9290 (outbound)
TCP & UDP 139 (outbound)
TCP 9100 (outbound)
