Automatic update failed and can't print

Update to HP Online Self-help tool.  installation failed

gmdsetup.exe - Application Error

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135).  Click OK to terminate the application.

The scanning function works.  The printer doesn't print.  The printer cartridge status shows plenty of ink.  It takes half an hour to print a test page and it has only a little ink on the page.  When this started, I printed a page and the first half of the page was invisible and the second half printed almost normally.  There was some partial printing between the halves.

The last thing I did was try a self-cleaning with test page at end.  The result was: "hp desk" and fade to nothing on first line.

The second line was "A B C D E F G H I J K L M N" with the tops missing from the "F" through the end of the line and the last few letters barely visible.  There were no more lines.

Re: Automatic update failed and can't print

I forgot to mention it's an HP F2110 All-in-one printer.

Re: Automatic update failed and can't print

Hey Terry,

Give this document a try to see if it helps resolve the issue: An Alphanumeric Code (Example: '0x...' or 'C2...') or 'Ink System Failure' Error Message Displays on...

The document changes depending on what your specific error. Let me know if it helps at all.

Thanks,

Sean
