Could you please verify the series of printer you are using (what type). I'm not able to find the C4985 in our records

I am so sorry for the typo it is C 4385 an all in one. I've tried everything I know and from help on different sites including all HP sites for help. I missed the free tech help, unfortunately. I've typed the model number inso many times I thought it was automatic! It's been a great machine till this.

It's okay I should have known better to space that out myself! ![]()
Just to clarify, solution center wasn't removed from the Windows 7 PC, and is only having issues on the Vista computer, from which you're still able to print?
If you have adobe flash player I would recommend updating it to the latest version available. After you have fully updated flash player you may need to uninstall/reinstall the solution center one more time unfortunately.
Good luck and I hope this works for you, friend!

Correct and not so correct. Vista OS is run not Vista 64 bit or Windows 7 or Beta Windows 8. My secretary had problems with her tax software and it was because she did not have Adobe Flash payer 10X installed, I helped her and ran home to check to see if it was installed! Alas, it was installed so I checked Adode and installed Flash Player 11 and have uninstalled, installed, deleted every file with HP on it including anything full or empty
in the registry by program and by checking manually. I even uninstalled reinstalled Adobe 11 on 4/16 and did the full uninstall on it and HP again. No luck. The printer works from internet explorer 9 on internet print pages. Manually. And from the photo program. But there is no SOLUTION CENTER AFTER INSTALL so I can't use it to save files, scan from the computer, copy, email etc. Look I hate to keep beating a dead horse, but I am disabled,
and must scan and save on my desktop PC and a backup hard drive, doctor reports, court correspondence,
etc. It is a bid pain to scan in a Photo program and save a a photo file. I bought this all in one for that reason! And have tooted HP over Lexmark, etc. ever since Vista came out. But the SOLUTION CENTER disappeared and I could still use the printer in the above conditions. I just uninstalled (HP) again. This file is 10_228_PS using cable modem to download. I even have uninstalled my Norton Software and another malware program and reinstall HP.
Used my install disc, file from your site and any updates. Waiting for the install to finish! Again I apologize about the Typo! C 4385 not the 49!! I had been using advanced installs and noticed where you could check what parts could be installed, all were in light print and check marked as installed which is only note an HP file in them! There was a fatal error which always happens and another uninstall and then install so I'm sending this before the reboot, as everything points to the problem again.

Lets make sure all remnants of solution center are gone before attempting that reinstall again. Here are the steps to make sure:
Click the start button in the bottom left hand corner (to opent he start menu). Click the run button.

This is the full install I've been reinstalling. The SOLUTION CENTER will not load it is missing completely. That is what the diagnostic scan from HP said SEE ABOVE POSTS. Can you ask around, seeing if another solution
works KUDOS for your trying!!
