My C6280 has stopped scanning. It used to scan when I first got it. It prints. It copies from the all in one solution centre, so connection from the printer to the unit is good, but perhaps not from the unit to the computer. Instalation of the Critical Update to correct PC to Printer Comms Issue FAILED, several times. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and downloaded updates and new software. I have rebooted a thousand times. I have spent three hours on the chat with the technicians repeating the troubleshooting steps that I found on the web earlier. No luck and no scans. Has anyone had the same problem? Your thoughts and ideas would be most welcome.

I have had a similar problem with what I think is the same update for my Officejet J5730 All-in-One. The process seems to hang when the Updating progress bar shows about one-third complete, when Windows Task Manager shows two DOT4 Scrubber Applications not responding (stopping either application removes both instances).
Would have expected HP to have realised by now and fixed it - I can't believe it's not a known problem.
