Can't create custom paper sizes on Photosmart c6280 [ Edited ]

Hello,

I need help.  I have a photosmart 6280 all-in-one printer.  I previously had the ability to create custom paper sizes for invitations, etc...  Now that option is no longer available.  Is any aware of issues or a fix for this?

I presume you're using Windows 7 under which the drivers don't seem to allow the creation of custom sized papers.  It wouldn't appear in the list no matter how many times I saved in in the driver's custom paper dialog.

The solution I found was to do this:

In the Device and Printers window, left-click once on your printer

In the context menu bar, directly under the menu where you see File, Edit, etc., click on "Print Server Properties"

In the Forms tab, click the check box that says "Create a new form"

In the field for "Form Name", give your form a new name

In the section for "Form Description", fill in the dimensions of your form

Click on the "Save Form" button

Click on "Ok"

That's it.  You should now be able to select this new paper size in your Printer Properties.

Excellent! This worked great for me as well. I needed to print on 6"x12" stock, and whereas Word would support the custom page size, my C6280 printer was balking at the 'incorrect page size'.  I used these instructions to add a 6x12 form and... voila! It worked! Thanks much!

Any idea how to do this on Windows Vista? 

When I tried to follow the instructions there was no form option
