In trying to install my new (to me) hp color laserjet 2500n, i keep getting a screen asking for me to install Disk 1 or a window that is asking for file: hp2500_6.PP_ I only have one disk that came with the printer and it is not labeled Disk 1, it is labeled hp color LaserJet 2500 series; the barcode at the bottom of the disk has the numbers C970660109 ver. 2.0 under the barcode. I got the printer all loaded up with the separate cartridges and was able to get the test page printed out. I also get a flashing symbol that looks like a broken cable. I've tried all three connection methods; USB (the way my other printer is connected to this computer), the LPT cable, and even a cat 5 cable to my network switch. I've downloaded drivers from HP's site but I keep getting a window wanting that 2500_6.pp_ file. Any suggestions? I'm running windows XP.
Thanks
Tom

The product you have seems to be a commercial printer. For the best chance at finding a solution I would suggest posting in the forum for HP Business Support!
You may find the Commercial Laserjet board here.

Hope this helps!
