Cant update the firmware on the HP laser jet 5200dtn

I am trying to update the driver to no avail.

I have tried doing it throught the PC. Downloaded the updater. Installed the driver. Got the smily face, restarted the printer and still old driver there. I even get the weird thing that when installing the update, the printer then starts to print dozens of pages with a row or two of random characters.

 

I have also tried through the Mac side to no avail also. I am on 10.6.

 

Any advice?

Hi,

You might have more luck on the bussines forum, this is the consumer forum and your unit is considered a bussiness unit, so the bussiness forum might be a place where you get a better answer.
