Since I updated my Mac OS to the version 10.6.6, my printer is not scanning anymore. I googled for a solution and found some tips here about reinstalling the device driver and full featured driver and it didn't work as well. The problem is that my mac is not recognizing that there is a scanner hooked up wirelessly to my mac. Unlikely, printing functions well !

I had the same problem. I did find a way around it-
1. Open HP Utility
2. Select Additional Settings
3. Select "open embedded web server"
4. Select the Scan tab
5. Select Scan to computer
A little labor intesive, but works until I can find the glitch...

I just ran into this same issue myself.
I think the problem is that the default configuration of the printer uses a Bonjour name for the printer that includes square brackets. Or, in any case, after I changed the Bonjour name for the printer to eliminate the square brackets, the printer was found successfully by the HP Scan application on my Mac (running OSX 10.6.8).
You can change this Bonjour name by using the same HP Utility application, then opening the embedded web server, then looking for the bonjour configuration tab (under network?).
