Deskjet 5150 printer incorrect margins with Vista 64-bit

Is anybody has the same problem with Deskjet 5150 and Vista 64-bit - margins on the top and the buttom printed incorrectly from any application - Word, Acrobat Reader, Internet Expolorer ? I set top margin to 0.2", but it prints as 0.75" margin on paper but print preview looks good - just as 0.2" margin. Bottom margin cannot be set less than 0.565", but it prints like 0.8" margin. Under XP I was able to set buttom margin to 0.2" or about so. Please help - I promise that I never going to buy HP product again.

Re: Deskjet 5150 printer incorrect margins with Vista 64-bit

You're not alone. I'm getting a similar issue too.

Problem from Vista Business 32 system: A double-sided PDF with a 0.5 inch margin (top and bottom and left and right) does not print correctly from three different applications (InDesign, Adobe Reader 9 and Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro). The top margin is always printing with a 1 inch margin and the bottom margin is truncated.

I have tried rebooting (a few times already) and tried reinstalling the drivers. I also tried fiddling with the different scaling options. So far no success.

It has never been able to print my holiday newsletter successfully. I never had this problem with my previous printer. As you can imagine, this is very frustrating.

Found solution!!!  It's the same for all HP printers using driver HP_Vista_SF_Ph2A  for Vista or Windows 7. Contact me for details with a personal message - the solution  isn't free.

Re: Deskjet 5150 printer incorrect margins with Windows 7

I have just bought a new laptop with Windows 7. Several documents that I previoulsy printed ok on my old XP driven pc  and my 5150 now come back with "margins of section 1 are outside the printable area of the page". I've tried adjusting this and uninstalling/reinstalling printer drivers (which you cannot do due to Windows 7!). Any suggestions on how to fix this as I'm having to use another printer & PC combination which is a major disrupter/inconvenience?

What about sorting this with Windows 7?
