Me too, I havethe same error problem. My printer is an "Officejet 5610 All-in-One" . Its HPSU-0004 file got accidentally erased, therefore HP updates cannot be dowloaded. I have the original HP Installation CD. How can I re-instatethe HPSU file? I have Windows XP on my computer. Thanks for any help.

Did you try the information in the previous post?

Hi! 007OHMSS and thanks for yr following up my post. However, you wrote:
<<Did you try the information in the previous post?>>.
Which is the "previous post" you meant? Did you mean to indicate the "post 10 of12", the one which outlines a procedure? I saw that post after I posted, and since I've rather limited computer skills, I'm awaiting for a friend's help to try it out. So far, I tried to offset the problem by repeating the printer installation using the orignal HP installation CD, but this did not clear the HPSU-0004 issue.
Thanks again,
ninomor

Yes, you are correct, try the steps in post 10. When you get your friend's help, that is.

Hello everyone!
I create this topic ![]()
Thank you very much for all your answers! I cannot sign any of them as correct or helpful because I bought a new Printer - HP Ink Advantage K209a-z (BTW - It's very good!).
Last one - HP PSC1510 was broken and repair costs were too high.

HPSU -0004 appeared on my 2006 model HP nw8440 quite a while ago and I could not relate it to a specific event. I am not using any HP Printer, so I think the error is generated by HPUpdate.
HP active hat suggested to repair the system, but I am afraid that this would set back my Windows XP to the state of 2006, which was certainly not what I wanted.
The solution that worked for my PC:
Install and run HP SoftPaq Download Manager.
Select HP Update and HP Software Update and Install it.
Run HP Update which should not produce the error any more.
Good luck to everyone

I am not able to locate the FULL drivers+applications (single HUGE file) for my printer, only drivers.
Is there another solution since the HP SoftPaq Download Manager does not list my Pavilion dv2000?
Doug
