HELP! 5610 Install keeps asking for Scan.msi file

I am trying to install software for HP 5610 AIO. printer works fine but when I try to scan it tries to install the software and keeps telling me that the scan.msi file is needed. I do not have disks- have followed directions from web, and have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the file so many times that my fingers are getting numb. can anybody help a brotha out??

 

Using XP with latest updates. THANK YOU in advance for any help!
