HP 4020ps would not cut and release plot

Our  HP 4020ps plotter stops during its plotting process then hangs.  The buttons on the panel become unresponsive. I cannot access the IP of the plotter.  We have it set up so it is its printer server.  So far, the get around solution is to turn off the swtich then restart.  The problem occurs randomly.

The sources of the plot can came from a PDF,  ESRI mxd file, or AutoCAD dwg.

The OS is XP for all PCs when plotting.

Firmware was updated recently by our vendor.

This forum is focused on consumer level products.  For best answers for the Designjet products I would suggest asking your question in the Business Designjet Forum here.  Be sure to mention when the issue started (did it work before the firmware update) and information on the firmware revision.
