Yes I did. I found the answer under Printer software in this forum : Here is what turned up :
The problem stems from a dll not being upgraded during the Cue 13 install.
The correct version of this dll can be found here - filename hpqxmlul.dll
ftp://noscnfil:update2@hprc.external.hp.com/
Save this file to your PC and then copy it to the correct location.
For 32 Bit
C:\Program Files\HP \Digital Imaging\bin
For 64 Bit
C:\Program Files (x86)\HP \Digital Imaging\bin
After you have copied the file to the correct location and overwritten the one that was there restart the PC and the scanning problem should go away.
This really works - my (quite elderly) printer scanner now works perfectly

Patrick ...
I tried the link you provided for the .dll and it requires a password!

Yes - sorry, I found that out when I tried this link yesterday. All I can tell you is that when I did it "for real" about 6 weeks ago, there was no problem; I found the nesessary file at that location, and used it to replace the faulty one, and it worked fine,
I can only suggest that you go on line and see if you can find anything about this site.
The only problem is that there may be afault in the link. I tried all the passwords I could think of for Windows Live, and this HP forum. No joy! The message that comes up offers you the choice of signing on anonymously - this doesn't work either - however when you go out of this lo and behold the message is Windows cannot display this website. I'll see if I can come up with anything, and if I do, I'll put it on here. But you may find it yourself - good luck.

Patrick ...
How about this: can you tell us which version of the hpqxmlul.dll file you are using? I need the 34-bit version.
Thanks.

No. I'm sorry, I can't. I did not make a note of that at the time; I found the file, dowloaded it and used it. I wish I could help more, I know how frustrating this is. You could try going back through all this thread - someone earlier did mention what I think is the file you need. I have sent a note to HP asking for help with that link

Patrick,
I was hoping you'd go to your HP/digitalimaging/bin folder and find the dll file, then right click on it and see what it says the File Version is. The one I have listed is version 13.0.0.131.
Thanks again.

Sorry think I may have confused you here. Scanning is OK problem I have is printing. After installing the full feature S/W test page prints OK but cannot print from any application. Seems to send to print queue but not to the printer (print queue thinks it prints OK). Anyone have the same problem or ideally solved.
Scanning works OK and I do have the verison of the dll file quoted (13.0.0.131).
Thanks

Gnasher ...
We're all in the same boat as you. Scanning works ... test pages print ... but nothing else. And HP is deaf to our complaints.
