HP Officejet 4500 Unable to Update

Hello,

I am having issues with my printer's software update. When I get a popup message that a new update is available, the box appears on the lower right corner of the screen and parts of it are cut off. Normally you just need to click and drag the box so you can see the whole thing. However, the box still retains the cut off image after moving it away from the corner and I can't read the entire message or click on any button to initialize the update.

I tried running the update manually by navigating to the HP folder and clicking on "HP Update". However, the application does not start even after several tries. I've also explored alternative means to manually install the update (i.e. via HP Solution Center) and the application still does not start up. I've done these methods also after a cold or warm boot and the application still fails to start.

Is there another way to obtain updates for this printer or can something be done with the update manager software?
