I have a proprietary Windows XP on a portable medical equipment. I am trying to load window drivers for the Officejet H470.
I get the Windows XP pop-up add-on window looking the the printer drivers. Because my system uses a proprietary
Windows XP behind the main software, I am not able to run any .EXE or .COM software. The printer driver on HP website
(OJH470_Basic_9) is an executable software not just Windows XP drivers. I can't use it in its present form. I'm looking for
just Windows XP drivers only that Windows XP can use.

Hi:
I think you are going to have to experiment here.
Download the HP Officejet Basic Driver - IT Professional Use Only (only because it is 15 MB instead of 123MB)
Then download this free file extraction utility: If you can't run any .exe file on the PC that needs the printer, just do this on another PC and copy the extracted folder to a flash drive or CD.
I did this, and got a folder with extracted drivers.
I would do the add a printer thing, and then when it asks for drivers, and you select Have Disk, then point it to the extracted folder.
I am thinking it specifically needs the .inf file labeled hpoj470a.inf to begin the installation process.
