HP PSC 1400/1410 Drivers for windows 7

I am having problems with downloading the drivers, all the software installs once i have downloaded it from the web site but when it comes up to plug the usb cable into my laptop to install the drivers nothing happens, it keeps coming up sayng there was a problem. Then if you let the windows driver installer try to find the drivers that doesnt work either or if you try to do a probleming solving in windows i comes up that there are no drivers. I have spent a week trying to get this to work, i hve downloaded the software/drivers from the hp web site and also tried the 2nd way of installing them from the web site. i have uninstalled everything 3 times and tired it again and nothing works. can anyone help. Im stuck without a printer. is it that HP have not put the drivers for windows 7 in the softwear download? do i need to download someting else?

I have similar problem with my HP PSC 1410 printer. I downloaded the driver for Windows 7 (32 bit) yesterday but it doesnt work. I can only scan but cannot print. Please help me.

Not to pile on with an already unanswered question but I am having a similar problem with Windows 7 and the HP PSC 1410. I get to the point where the software asks me to plug in the USB cable. It then moves on to step 4 of 7 and times out. When you go back to windows, the printer displays with the exclamation point and no driver installed, yet all the software seems to be installed.

I have the same issue!

I am attempting to find the drivers for Windows 7 64-bit - but nothing so far has worked. I cannot locate any driver that will work for it, even after attempting to install from the HP program listed for my OS and this printer.

Please help!

I am also having this problem for my 1410. HP REALLY NEEDS TO COME UP WITH A SOLUTION FAST! Its quite ridiculous really! The support drivers and software for Windows 7 (32-bit) on the HP drivers download site, do not work!

This is really inconviencing me as I have a pile of work I need to print off and get done. What am I suppose to do? Seriously.

I, totally agree you would think as long as windows 7 has been on the market and as big a corporation as HP is this would ahve been taken care of a long time ago

The driver AIO_CDB_NonNet_Full_Win_WW_130_141 psc1410 printer.exe for Windows 7 HP PSC 1410 All-in-one printer scanner does NOT work.

I have tried this on several windows 7 PCs over the course of two days. The scanner part works but the printer does NOT work.

@piano043man, sorry that you are having a problem with your printer. Just want to make sure I am reading you post correctly. The first sentence you said SCANNER did not work, and then the 2nd, you said Scanner Works, and printing doesn't. Is it both, or does it switch?

Can you make a copy of anything on the printer?
