I have the same problem, how do I to get rid of the problem?

I have No earthly clue.  I still have the problem and have not been able to find a single person who knows how to fix it.  Maybe one day, before the printer quits on me, some one will figure it out.  If anyone finds the solution, please share with us.

I Have a hp photosmart c7100 running windows 7 and I have downloaded the new hp drivers and i still can't get it to work . can anybody help.   Alan

You may have already tried the Printer Install Wizard?

It checkes that you- have the right full solution (if available -which it is for your photosmart c7100) and it checkes the print drivers are properly installed.

keep getting message when starting up  'HP Photosmart essential.msi'  etc etc  , this is new  can"t get rid of it

not computer savy, old, old lady  HELP

I am still having the same problem years later. 

HP can not even figue it out.

If I did not like my all-in-one printer in general and could afford it, I'd dump HP for something completely different just to get rid of the problem.

I had the same problems with HP Photosmart B010 and Win7 (64b). The problems appear also when I download the complete new HP driver for the printer from HP webside. I solved this problem by installation of the HP driver and after it by following separate download of the hp photosmart essential from the internet ( e.g. German version on http://www.netzwelt.de/software-chooser/22756_2-hp-photosmart-essential.html, name of downloaded  file: pse_350_deu). By installation of this file (may be you find also an english version) you are asked for deinstallation of the already partly installed version of photosmart essentials. Click " yes". After deinstallation of the former version you must install the downloaded file again. After it all was running.

I receive message when I start my laptop that HP Photosmart Essential is downloading and then get a message that it is not possible.   See my provider.   I have trouble cancelling the message, takes 4 goes.  Latichia
