I had problems with HP Solution Center executing at all. After reinstalling the full driver and software support for my Photosmart c7280 on my HP Windows 7 x64 system three times (the final time with help from an on-line chat session) the Solution Center software runs and does communicates with the printer, but it no longer can / will report the ink levels. It used to do that routinely. The initial problem with Solution Center appeared out of the blue a few weeks ago.

Same thing here. I'm guessing it involves uninstalling, reinstalling more times than I care to try.
I did install the drivers and full software suite.
It used to work, but no longer.

After dealing with the problem for many weeks I was finally able to get someone from HP to help me. After doing a little troubleshooting she decided to send me a CD with the HP Solution Center software. I went through the installation and things magically worked. One interesting side note -- I did a bit for bit compare of the file on the CD with the file that I had downloaded from the HP web site and they came out to be identical. Explain that.
