Hi There,
Please can you advise if the front panel buttons on my office jet 7310 all in one are operational with Windows 7 proffesional. I have installed the latest full version software and the device is otherwise working fine. It scans OK through the solution centre software but no front panel buttons can be added
Thank you

Hi,
If the full software was successfully installed, the scan option from the front panel should work. Please click on the link given below and perform the steps in it to resolve the issue:

Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for your reply. DIM monitor is running but when I try to open the scan set up it hangs and tells me to reinstall the software. I am reluctant to do this as today I and HP customer support resolved some big issues of failed installations after my upgrade to Windows 7 I would like very much to use the fronty panel buttons as I scan a lot to PDF during the day but cannot experience anymore problems with the installation.
Cheers

Hi, I understand your reluctance for reinstallation of the software. I would like to know if the Officejet software was installed on your computer system before it was upgraded to Windows 7. If yes, please download and install the patch from the link given below.
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software11/COL30427/m
Once the patch is run, reboot the computer and check if you are able to use the Solution Center software and scan using it. Populate the destination list if required, based on the steps provided in the link given previously. If the issue still persists, then reinstallation may be have to performed.
Please click Kudos to say Thanks.

Thanks again. Software was not installed till after the change to Windows 7. However I tried the patch but still scan set up will not run.
If I must uninstall and reinstall then I will do it but I need to be sure it will work otherwise I will have to accept the loss of functionality.
Kind regards

I am using the full featured driver with my network connected Officejet 7410 (which uses the same driver) and have sucessfully scanned PDF documents both from the front panel (Scan to...) and from Solution Center.
