How to fax legal size from HP Photosmart C6180

I can't get my HP Photosmart C6180 to print or fax legal size, only letter size. Did I miss a setting or something?

Did you change the printer properties to use Legal (8.5x14) size paper when you attempted to print? When you attempted to fax a legal size document did you get an error message?

Thanks for the tip. First, I did not actually attempt to send a 11 x 14 fax, but when I couldn't print that size copy I was afraid it would not fax either. 

OK, I changed that designation to Size legal under Other Options (a strange place for it), and am now able to copy or print a legal size document. Does this mean that the same setting will allow me to fax a legal size page?

When you attempt to FAX using legal size do you get an error on the LCD or does the recepient say that the FAX there received is cutoff?

No error messages but fax was cut off. At the time I did not have the machine set for legal size. Before I attempt to send more, if I set the machine to legal size, should it then fax the full length? It's a hassle at the recipient point to do any tests, so I'd like to be fairly sure it will work before I try.
