Hi Group
Any one successfully running 4200 on windows 7 64bit using a parallel port? Read further if you want no more detail.
I had not problem installing the driver 4200 PCL6 (from windows update), but when i print a test page a get the following problem
The 4200 prints a line of rubbish then spools to another sheet and once again prints a line of rubbish and continuous in this fashion
I have tried installing reinstalling and choosing other compatible drivers but also get above problem
I cannot confirm the parallel/LPT/PCI port is a worker (startech PCIPECP) on this PC as I have never used it before (successfully), but it has the most up to date driver which is supposed to be win7 64bit compatible. I tried to use the parallel port for a HP deskjet 520 but there is no official driver, so tried work arounds eg deskjet 500 driver but got a very similar problem if not exactly the same problem as on the "Compatible?" 4200.
Any one successfully running 4200 on windows 7 64bit using a parallel port?
Thanks
Iain

Hello vytbcs
The product you have is a commercial printer. I suggest posting in the HP Business Support forum for a better chance at finding a solution.
You may find the Commercial Laserjet board here.
