I see that the Task Manager image is unreadable; the tasks running were:
csrss.exe
dwm.exe
explorer.exe
ScreenshotCaptor.exe
taskeng.exe
taskhost.exe
taskmgr.exe
winlogon.exe

Hello beaujohn,
First of all, please excuse the delay, have had no chance to post sooner.
Ok, the basic plug and play driver asked to connect your printer, a step forward. ![]()
The listed tasks looking fine, very common.
Just to check if there is any “handshake” between computer and printer, would you please connect the printer again, power it on and open the device manager. You should notice an entry called “Other devices” and your P1005 listed below:
Second entry to check is “Universal Serial Bus controllers”, there should be one entry called “USB Printing Support”.
Close the device manager and open “Devices and Printers”. You should notice your P1005 there as well, listed below “Unspecified”:
Can you confirm this?
And no, never running out of options, just a question of time getting the computer fixed. ![]()
