Officejet 6000 needs Solution Center on Windows 7 / 64bit

Funny thing when I searched the HP site for Officejet 6600 (from the printer label) it was 'not found'.  It did know it as CZ155A though.  But it did not have the ability to point me to Solution Center so that I can scan multiple photos per scan and then cut them out and have them saved with numbered scans.

WHERE is Solution Center for the HP 6600?

I saw one posting that says it is on the instllations CD and you can select 'advanced' and then only install the Solution Center but there is no way to get there when I try.  The printer and computer are unplugged from the USB connection, the install runs and says it is instsalled and then quits without getting to a choice where I can pit 'advanced'.

Frustrating.

Hi SenatorMark4,

Here is a post from our Forums that should apply to your issue. The printer is a different model, but same issue regarding Solution Center, I have replaced your model where appropriate.

I assume you simply plugged the printer without preinstalling any software. Please correct me otherwise.

Please remove the existing device as following:

  1. Unplug the USB from the back of the printer.
  2. Enter Control Panel > Devices and printers
  3. Right click any 6600 printer icon, then click Remove Device.
If there are several icons of your printer, repeat the same for any of them.
  4. Reboot your PC.
  5. Enter Control Panel > Devices and Printers.

  6. Left click once any presented printer (e.g. Fax), then click Print Server Properties on the Top bar.

  7. Click the Driver tab.

  8. If there is any 6600 listed, select it and click Remove.

  9. Select to remove the 2nd option. Remove printer driver and printer driver Package.

Download and install the Full Feature Software for your printer (HP Officejet 6600 Series) below:

*Make sure not to connect the USB till prompted to do so during the install.
