Re: Windows 7 & Officejet Pro 8500

Drivers work fine, my expensive device prints as fine as the cheapest Lexmark, but nothing else.Oh, forgot, it also copies.  At scanning... ¨no scan options¨. I have to scan via Photoshop or Paint. And the software is completely useless. I have not bee able to connect my printer via wired network because it doesn´t find the printer (the ethernet cable has been verified as working). Had to install it via USB.  The ¨great¨HP Solution Center doesn´t give a darn solution to anything. It doesn´t recognizes the printer as connected, not for scanning, faxing, checking ink levels or other settings(network), only gives me printer settings, which I can do via Control Panel. I regret not having returned this junk device to the store. Too late, just lost my money.

Re: Windows 7 (64-bit) & Officejet Pro 8500

I upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7 (64-bit). HP Solution Center didn't transfer.  I tried to reinstall the CD, even though it was for XP and Vista. I received an error message 'computer checked OS, OS is not supported. current OS: 601.64, Vista 64 bit, Vista, and XP'. How can I get the CD Software and Drivers for Windows 7, so I ill also have the HP Solution Center?

Re: Windows 7 (64-bit) & Officejet Pro 8500

The Officejet 8500 series drivers are available for download or order (free with a small shipping charge) from HP here.  Select your particular model then choose the Windows 7 64 bit operating system, then there will be a number of options.
