Photosmart C3180 All-In-One Driver and software updates

(1) I am unable to update drivers or software updates. Printer not updated since new because automatic update module ALWAYS returns "update failed". I just saw "HP Update - Security Update,tried to download and it FAILED. I tried selecting the 3180 to download driver updates - page not found. My patience with HP update and contact functions is wearing VERY thin. Any help will be appreciated. (2) Suddenly Word 2010 does not print addresses in the correct location on the envelopes. Troubleshooting in Word 2010 led to "update your printer drivers." So, here I am.
