Photosmart Premier without monitor?

I have a couple of different HP products that I think both came with Photosmart software.  One is a digital camera, Photosmart M305, and the other is a laser printer, LaserJet 1018.  I had the Photosmart Premier editing software with at least one of them.  I don't currently use either of these products (one broke, and the other was purchased for a job I no longer have), but I love the editing software.  If I remember correctly, both of these also have the Digital Imaging Monitor, which annoys me to no end, and it isn't necessary at the moment.  Is there a way to install the editing software without the monitor?  Or could I install it, then uninstall or disable the monitor?  I know it can be closed, but I would be much happier if I didn't have to wait for it to load.  Any help would be appreciated!

The Photosmart Premier software has been replaced by the HP Photosmart Essential program, which is available as a separate download for free.
